Imaginary Record Sleeves : part 2 - Prefab Sprout

I'm forever grateful to Q Magazine for introducing me to these wonderful band. Woefully under-rated, these guys are well-worth investigating for all lovers of pop music. (If you find the stuff a bit difficult, just hang in there. The reward is immense. Trust me!)

The last time i went to America (back in 1997, i might add), my brother and i went to a Tower Records (the one in Westwood, LA) and got lost on our way back to the hotel. Probably because none of us were paying a lot of attention, since we were so happy to get some rare CD's. Mine was an American version of Prefab Sprout's second LP (original title: Steve McQueen, US title : Two Wheels Good). I prefer the American one than the original, since it has three bonus tracks at the end, one of which is a heavenly cover of the oldie "He'll Have To Go".

Here's a celebration of the four best tracks in the album.

(Original Photographs and some design elements are TM and C their respective owners. Actually, the layout was inspired from an old Peter Paul and MAry album!)
